Job summary

HCA HealthONE Centennial is hiring a Pre-Op Registered Nurse to join a caring team dedicated to safe, high-quality patient care. You will oversee pre-surgical care, coordinate multidisciplinary teams, and ensure final accountability for patient outcomes.

The role requires Colorado RN licensure, BLS and ACLS, a BSN is preferred, and at least one year of acute care experience, including pre-op PACU exposure. Benefits and career development opportunities are provided.

Qualifications

• Current licensure in Colorado as a Registered Nurse or active multistate RN license.
• Basic Life Support and ACLS certifications required.
• Graduate from accredited nursing program; BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee and direct care of pre-surgical/procedural patient.
• Lead collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated care.
• Supervise assistive personnel and ensure accountability for care given.
• Deliver age-appropriate care considering patient safety and learning needs.
• May float to other areas; perform only competencies mastered.

Here is some of what you can expect from being a Pre-Op Registered Nurse with us:

• You will oversee and direct the care of the pre surgical/procedural patient.
• You will serve as the primary nurse leading the collaboration of all disciplines for well-coordinated patient care.
• You will oversee and direct the care of assistive personnel, maintaining final accountability for the care given to assigned patients.
• You will deliver care, which is based on criteria that is age appropriate and is based on the physical, psychosocial, cultural, safety, and learning needs of the individual patients.
• You may be asked to float to areas other than your assigned service area, and you will perform only those duties for which you have demonstrated competency.

What qualifications you will need:

• Current licensure in the State of Colorado as a Registered Nurse, or current active multi-state Registered Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
• ACLS certification.
• Graduate from an accredited school of nursing. BSN preferred.
• One (1) year minimum experience in acute care required.
• Prior Pre Op PACU experience Required.
