Job summary

CentraCare Health is hiring a Registered Nurse for the Post Anesthesia Care Unit at St. Cloud Hospital in Saint Cloud, MN. The role includes caring for patients before and after surgery, pre-op prep, and post-anesthesia recovery coordination with surgeons and anesthesiologists.

Expect a fast-paced environment requiring flexibility, critical thinking, and strong teamwork. Schedule includes 48 hours every two weeks with varied day/evening shifts and occasional holidays/night call.

Qualifications

• RN licensure in MN required
• BSN within three years of hire
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required
• ACLS within 12 months of hire
• PALS within 12 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Care for patients in PACU before and after surgery
• Assist in pre-op preparation and ensure patient safety for operating room transition
• Monitor patients waking from anesthesia and coordinate with surgeons/anesthesiologists
• Maintain calm, adaptable approach in a fast-paced environment

Registered Nurse | Post Anesthesia Care Unit

Department Post Anesthesia Care Unit St Cloud Hospital Location Saint Cloud, MN, 56303 48 hours every two weeks 232370 Wage: $44.57-$74.37

In the Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) at the St. Cloud Hospital, you will work with patients of all ages before and after surgeries. RNs may work in the pre-op area ensuring a patient is prepped for surgery and safe to go to the operating room. After surgery, the RN will work with surgeons and anesthesiologists as the patient wakes up to ensure they are stable before being discharged or brought back to their hospital room. In this fast-paced environment you will need to think on your feet along with being flexible and adaptable.

Schedule

• Part-time | 48 hours every two weeks | St. Cloud Hospital


• Monday- Friday | Day/evenings | 8-and 12-hr shifts | Various start times throughout the day | approximately every 8 th weekend


• approximately 2 holidays per year


• Occasional night call

Qualifications

• Graduate from a nursing program and current RN licensure in MN required


• BSN required within three years of hire


• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required


• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certifications required within 12 months of hire


• Previous experience in ICU, CCU, or PACU settings preferred


• Critical care experience in Hemodynamic monitoring and Basic EKG interpretation preferred

To be eligible for the hiring bonus, you must be an external candidate who is hired into an eligible full time or part time benefited position. Previousemployees qualify if they have not worked for CentraCare for at least 9 months at the date of hire.

To be eligible for the relocation assistance, you must accept a full time or part time benefited position and may not have worked for CentraCare in the last 9 months. You must currently reside more than 50 miles away fromthe St. Cloud Hospital andrelocate to within 30 miles of it with 120 days of employment.
