Job summary

TalentBurst is seeking a Registered Nurse – PACU in Atlanta, GA. This 16-week onsite contract covers 3 x 12-hour day shifts (10:00 AM–10:30 PM) in a high-acuity PACU setting.

Candidates must have 2+ years PACU experience, BLS, ACLS, NIHSS, and no local candidates within 50 miles; Cerner EMR experience preferred. Travel holidays are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU/Post Anesthesia RN experience.
• AHA BLS – Required.
• AHA ACLS – Required.
• NIHSS – Required.
• No local candidates within 50 miles.

Responsibilities

• Provide PACU nursing care in a 24/7 unit with high-acuity cases.
• Manage post-anesthesia recovery and patient monitoring.
• Document in Cerner EMR and coordinate with surgical teams.

Registered Nurse – Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU)

Location: Atlanta, GA 30342
Contract Duration: 16 weeks
Shift: Days
Schedule: 3 × 12-hour shifts | 36 hours/week
Shift Hours: Monday–Friday, 10:00 AM–10:30 PM
Department: 665A PACU – Ground Floor

Requirements

Minimum 2 years of recent PACU/Post Anesthesia RN experience

AHA BLS – Required

AHA ACLS – Required

NIHSS – Required

No local candidates within 50 miles

Unit & Clinical Details

• PACU is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
• Holiday coverage is provided through call
• The unit handles a variety of surgical cases, including:
  • Thoracic
  • Orthopedic
  • Neurology
  • Vascular
  • Urology
  • General Surgery
• Higher-acuity cases are performed in this PACU
• Unit is overseen by a Charge Nurse and Supervisor
• EMR: Cerner

Holiday Requirement

Travelers must work 2 of the 3 major holidays:

• Thanksgiving Day
• Christmas Day
• New Year's Day

Additionally, travelers must work 1 minor holiday:

• Friday after Thanksgiving
• Christmas Eve
• New Year's Eve
