Job summary

Alliance Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for an acute-care hospital assignment in Dayton, OH. The role requires 2+ years of acute pediatric nursing and 1+ year of Epic EMR usage.

The RN will care for high‑acuity pediatric patients, monitor vital status, administer therapies, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team in a fast‑paced setting. This contract/PRN assignment offers a competitive hourly pay rate of $68–$70.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of acute pediatric nursing experience required.
• PICU / pediatric critical-care experience required.
• 1+ year of Epic EMR experience required.
• Burn experience preferred.
• Active and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license as required by the state of assignment.
• Current BLS certification.
• Current PALS certification.
• ACLS may be required based on facility requirements.
• Strong pediatric assessment, critical‑thinking, and emergency‑response skills.
• Must meet all facility credentialing, health, background, and compliance requirements prior to assignment.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to critically ill and high‑acuity pediatric patients.
• Perform comprehensive pediatric assessments and continuously monitor changes in patient condition.
• Manage complex pediatric patients requiring intensive monitoring and interventions.
• Monitor respiratory, cardiovascular, neurological, and hemodynamic status.
• Administer medications, IV therapies, blood products, and other treatments as ordered and within scope of practice.
• Care for patients requiring advanced respiratory support and other critical‑care interventions.
• Recognize signs of deterioration and initiate appropriate emergency interventions.
• Participate in pediatric emergency and rapid‑response situations.
• Provide specialized care for pediatric burn patients when assigned and appropriately qualified.
• Collaborate closely with intensivists, physicians, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, and other members of the interdisciplinary team.
• Provide age‑appropriate care and communicate effectively with patients and their families.
• Accurately document assessments, medications, interventions, and patient responses using Epic.
• Follow hospital policies, infection‑prevention standards, medication‑safety practices, and PICU protocols.

Alliance Staffing Solutions LLC is seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) Registered Nurse for an acute-care hospital assignment. This opportunity is ideal for an experienced pediatric critical-care nurse who is comfortable managing high‑acuity and medically complex pediatric patients.

Compensation

Pay Rate: $68–$70 per hour

Final rate may be based on experience, qualifications, shift, and assignment requirements.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate is an experienced PICU RN with at least 2 years of acute pediatric nursing experience and a minimum of 1 year of Epic experience. Candidates with previous pediatric burn experience are especially encouraged to apply.

The successful nurse will be comfortable working in a fast‑paced pediatric critical‑care environment and capable of recognizing and responding quickly to changes in a child's condition.
