Job summary

The American Geriatrics Society is looking for a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Renal Unit at Northwest Community Hospital in Arlington Heights, IL. This per diem position requires at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including weekends, with hours from 7 pm to 7:30 am.

Qualified candidates will need an Associate's degree or BSN, a current nursing license in Illinois, and current CPR certification. The role includes providing patient assessments, coordinating care, and maintaining communication with healthcare providers.

Hourly Pay Range:

$36.00 - $55.80 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidate's expertise and years of experience, among other factors.

Position Highlights:

• Position: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Renal Unit- Nights
• Location: Northwest Community Hospital - Arlington Heights, IL
• Per Diem- must be able to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks. 24 of those hours must be on weekend time.
• Hours: 7pm - 7:30am, Every other weekend
• Required Travel: No

What you will do:

• Provides patient assessment and collection of health data involving patient, family and other health care providers.
• Coordinates patient plan of care to assure interventions are consistent, safe, timely and appropriate.
• Communicates clearly and effectively with all customers, in person, on the phone and in writing.
• Individualizes patient and family teaching based on a thorough assessment to meet their specific learning needs.
• Participates in evaluating quality and effectiveness of nursing practice by participating in quality improvement initiatives.
• Maintains professional knowledge in current nursing practice standards, laws and regulations.
