Job summary

Montefiore Medical Center in New York is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse in Oncology to uphold nursing standards and contribute to quality improvement initiatives. The role covers bi-campus needs at Moses and Einstein campuses.

The RN will engage in professional practice, demonstrate leadership, and ensure patient safety in chemotherapy/biotherapy administration, with focus on oncology populations.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred.
• New York State RN license and active registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) training completed.
• Infection control training completed.
• Minimum of one year oncology nursing experience required.
• ONS Chemotherapy/Biotherapy provider certification strongly preferred.
• Strong knowledge of chemo/biotherapy administration, infusion protocols and patient safety.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication.
• Ability to use basic data entry and retrieval systems.

• The RN participates in performance improvement and research activities and maintains professional practice standards and clinical expertise.
• The RN demonstrates leadership skills and applies unit-specific competencies for the patient population served.
