Northshore Home Health Care is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Intermediate Care Unit, working night shifts. The role involves conducting patient assessments, coordinating care plans, and educating patients and families.

Flexibility to work weekends/holidays and participate in orientation is required. You will collaborate with the healthcare team, ensure compliance with standards, and contribute to quality initiatives while maintaining current nursing knowledge.

Qualifications

• Successful completion of an accredited Associate's degree or BSN.
• Current Illinois nursing license.
• CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Role:

Registered Nurse in the Intermediate Care Unit, working night shifts.

Responsibilities:

Conduct patient assessments, gather health data, and coordinate individualized care plans to ensure safe and effective interventions. Communicate clearly with patients, families, and healthcare team members both verbally and in writing. Provide tailored patient and family education based on thorough assessments. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to evaluate nursing practice effectiveness. Maintain current knowledge of nursing standards, laws, and regulations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Successful completion of an accredited Associate's degree or BSN, current Illinois nursing license, and CPR certification from the American Heart Association.

Key Duties:

Deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with healthcare team, participate in quality initiatives, and ensure compliance with professional standards. The role requires flexibility to work at least 48 hours every 6 weeks, including weekends and holidays, with availability for nursing orientation.
