Beverly Hills Cancer Center in Beverly Hills, CA, seeks a Registered Nurse (Per Diem) to coordinate and provide compassionate care across the patient treatment cycle, including offsite home visits for our concierge health program. Oncology/chemo infusion experience is required for this role.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and provide care within scope of practice.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient status and plan of care.
• Assist with offsite home visits for concierge health program as needed.
• Administer IV infusions and monitor patients.
• Verify safety of medication doses and monitor for adverse reactions.
• Document medication administration and capture charges for each patient visit.
• Monitor lab values and notify physicians of abnormal results.
• Provide patient education and reinforce instructions during visits.

Salary Range: $63.00 To $75.00 Hourly

Registered Nurse

The Registered Nurse (Per Diem) is responsible for coordinating and providing care to patients within the scope of practice and will strive to provide these services in a compassionate and knowledgeable fashion. The RN’s role responsibilities include the assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of the patient’s status, plan of care, goal achievement, and input into process improvement. This position will assist with offsite home visits for our patients interested in our concierge health program as needed. Oncology/chemotherapy experience required.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

• IV insertions, Port and PICC access, and phlebotomy.
• Patient assessments, multidisciplinary care planning, and detailed patient education with an emphasis on pre and post-treatment follow-up, side effects, precautions, and self-care tips. Reinforces education during patient visits.
• Verifies safety of ordered medication doses and monitors patients for reactions to side effects of therapy and intervene as necessary.
• Acts as a patient advocate and monitors patient flow by reviewing lab results, reporting abnormal lab results, and reporting patient symptoms and concerns to the attending physician in a timely manner.
• Documents medication administration and captures charges for each patient visit.
• Complete IV infusions and monitor patients.
• Performs review of procedures and properly captures charges for each patient visit.
• Infusion administration, hydration, and other infusions as prescribed. Monitors lab values and notifies physicians in a timely fashion of abnormal values and patient condition changes.

EDUCATION / CERTIFICATION

• Certified RN
• Oncology Experience Preferred, Chemotherapy infusion experience required
• License and current registration to practice in the state of California
• IV Certification is required, must be Chemo certified
• ADN or BSN from an accredited College of Nursing program is preferred
• ONS
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing is highly preferred.
