Montage Health in Monterey, CA seeks a per diem Endoscopy Registered Nurse to deliver direct patient care within Surgical Services. You will prepare patients for procedures, assist and circulate in endoscopy, reprocess GI scopes, and monitor recovery post-procedure patients. Must be able to take call and report within 45 minutes.

The role emphasizes quality care, teamwork, safety, and strong communication with patients and staff. California RN license and BLS required, ACLS/PALS desirable.

Qualifications

• California RN license required.
• ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained within two years of start date.
• Endoscopy experience preferred; telemetry experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.

Welcome to Montage Health’s application process!Job Description:Under the leadership of the department director, assistant director, nursing supervisor, and/or charge nurse, the Registered Nurse is responsible and accountable for planning, directing, assessing and providing nursing care according to the policies and procedures of the hospital and department. Important dimensions of this position consist of quality of care, professional commitment, teamwork, interpersonal skills, safety, good public/customer relations and a broad nursing knowledge. The Registered Nurse is an experienced nurse who shall orient new staff, precept students, and assume relief charge nurse duty as oriented and assigned.The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering direct nursing care to all patient populations during hours on duty. The Endoscopy Registered Nurse possesses skills and knowledge to competently provide appropriate nursing care within the Surgical Services areas and Endoscopy Services. Duties include, but will not be limited to: preparing patients for procedures, assisting in endoscopy procedures, circulating in endoscopy procedures, reprocessing GI scopes, and recovering post-procedure patients. Must be able to take call and report to the hospital within 45 minutes.ExperienceAt least three years medical surgical nursing experience in an acute care hospital or multi-specialty outpatient surgery center. Experience in endoscopy preferred. Experience in telemetry preferred.EducationBachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.Must pass orientation and initial competency assessment prior to independent assignment of patients requiring the applicable skill, and must complete and pass all annual competencies.Licensure/CertificationsState of California RN license required. American Heart Association Healthcare Provider BLS required. ACLS and PALS certifications must be obtained prior to completion of orientation and independent assignment.
