Job summary

Health Marketing is seeking a Registered Nurse - Infusion at Elmhurst Cancer Center. This per diem role offers varying shifts, including weekdays, weekends on call, and holidays, with a focus on infusion therapies.

You will administer medications, manage vascular access, and deliver compassionate, safe care to patients and families while collaborating with the care team and supporting professional development.

Qualifications

• Active Illinois nursing license required.
• CPR certification required.
• Infusion/oncology experience preferred.

• Administer injectable medications and infusion therapies, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with proficiency in vascular access management.

• Collaborate with team members, promote safety, and maintain thorough documentation.
• Supervise and guide staff, recognize atypical situations, and ensure a safe environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality, individualized nursing care for infusion therapy patients and their families.
• Administer injectable medications and infusion therapies, ensuring safety protocols are followed.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care, with proficiency in vascular access management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Minimum 1 year of staff nurse experience; infusion, hematology/oncology experience preferred.
• Associate's in Nursing required; Bachelor's preferred.
• Current Illinois Nursing license and CPR certification required.
• Chemotherapy/Biotherapy certification preferred.
