Responsibilities
Certification Requirements: Current Healthcare Provider CPR/BLS upon hire
- Specialty Certifications: PACU, ICU, Cath Lab, Angiography, Lung Center, McAuley Surgery Center - ACLS within 1 year of hire or 6 months of promotion ED - ACLS within 6 months of hire/promotion & ENPC or PALS within 1 year Mother/Baby, NICU/PEDS - NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion Labor & Delivery - NRP within 6 months of hire/promotion and EFM (Electronic Fetal Monitoring) within 1 year of hire Telemetry - ACLS within 1 year of hire, within 18 months of hire if new grad Chemotherapy Clinic (Outpatient Chemo) - ONS (Oncology Nursing Society) certification within 1 year of hire and OCN (Oncology Certified Nurse) certification within 2 years of hire

- Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: Must possess the ability to effectively communicate and deal tactfully with other personnel, visitors, patients, physicians, customers, and the general public. Must be able to read, write, and speak the English language in an understandable manner. Must be flexible, have personal integrity, and the ability to function effectively as a team with other employees. Computer proficiency and technical aptitude with the ability to utilize one or more of the following:
- Microsoft Word, Power Point, Access, Excel
- Microsoft Outlook
- Meditech
- Epic
- Performance Manager/NetLearning Must be able to follow written and oral instructions. Must be able to work independently and possess the ability to make independent decisions when circumstances warrant such action.

Requirements
EDUCATION AND WORK EXPERIENCE
- Education and Work Experience:
- Must possess a high school diploma or GED
- Must be a graduate of an accredited school of nursing and successfully completed the State Board of Nursing Licensure Exam
- BSN Preferred
- Must possess 1 year of current clinical experience
- Must obtain 20 Contact hours per year, fifty percent of which must be clinically focused. Academic course credits may be used on a 1:1 credit hour exchange.
