REGISTERED NURSE WOMEN/CHILDREN PRN PICU

UNIT SUMMARY: The Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) is a 7-bed unit with self-scheduling managed by the scheduling committee. It offers cross-training opportunities in Peds and NICU/SCN.

JOB SUMMARY: As a member of the Children's Services team, the RN provides safe, age-appropriate patient care and acts as an advisor and resource for patients and their families.

REQUIREMENTS: Formal working knowledge equivalent to an Associate's degree (2 years college) or a Diploma in Nursing, with knowledge of a specialized field. A minimum of 1 year PICU experience is required. Must hold Maryland Registered Nurse License, American Heart Association BLS Certification. PALS certification is required within 6 months of hire, and Oncology certification within 1 year.
