Job summary

WMH Alzheimer’s Support Group in Honesdale, PA seeks registered nurses for full-time and part-time shifts to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care on the unit.

Graduate of an accredited nursing program with PA licensure; prior nursing experience is preferred. The role requires meeting physical standards and sensory requirements for clinical duties.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the state of PA.
• Prior nursing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• The RN will assess, plan, implement and evaluate the care of all assigned patients on the unit during the shift.
• Physical Standards include defined levels: Constantly (75%+), Frequently (25-75%), Occasionally (5-25%), Rarely (<5%).
• Sensory requirements include vision, hearing, and discrimination for clinical tasks.

Job description

Full-Time and Part-time positions. Candidate will perform the primary functions of a RN in assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating the care of all assigned patients on the unit during her/his shift.

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the state of PA. Participates in educational conferences, updates and maintains professional knowledge and skills related to areas of responsibilities. Prior nursing experience preferred.

Physical Standards:

Constantly: (Exists 75% or more of the time) Moving

Frequently: (Exists 25-75% of the time) Standing; walking; reaching (overhead, forward, lateral, low); stooping (bend at waist); crouching (bend at knees); twisting; balance; lifting and carrying 0-25 lbs.

Occasionally: (Exists 5- 25% of the time) Sitting with and without back support; climbing; crawling; lifting and carrying 25-75 lbs.; pushing and pulling 0 - >100 lbs. (help is available pushing 75 - >100 lbs./pulling 0 - > 100 lbs.); operating machinery; exposure to infect hazards, slippery surfaces, moving machinery, fumes.

Rarely: (Exists under 5% of the time) Lifting and carrying 75 - > 100 lbs. (help is available >100 lbs.); exposure to radiation, chemical hazards, vibration.

Sensory Requirements: Visual: close paperwork, color vision; Hearing: conversation, monitoring equipment, telephone, background noise; Sensory Discrimination (hot/cold, sharp/dull).
