Job summary

Pediatric Specialty Care in Philadelphia, part of Elderwood Administrative Services, is seeking an RN to provide pediatric care in a long-term, developmentally appropriate setting. Nurses will work 12-hour shifts (7:00am–7:30pm or 7:00pm–7:30am) delivering high-quality care and building relationships with children and families.

Applicants should be licensed in PA, hold BLS/CPR, and have pediatric experience.

Qualifications

• Credentials as a Registered Nurse with a current PA state license in good standing
• Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Experience in a pediatric setting preferred
• Meets Child Care Supervisor qualifications as per 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
• English language proficiency at intermediate or higher level

Responsibilities

• Lead and implement individualized care plans
• Perform comprehensive nursing assessments
• Administer medications and advanced therapies (IV, TPN, complex treatments) and monitor changes
• Collaborate with physicians, therapists, and families
• Supervise and mentor LPNs and Nurse Technicians
• Support emergency response and clinical safety
• Ensure regulatory compliance and quality standards
• Deliver safe, developmentally appropriate pediatric care

Qualifications

RN - Registered Nurse (Pediatrics):

• Credentials as a Registered Nurse with a current state license (PA - Pennsylvania) in good standing for the state in which work is performed
• Valid, current BLS/CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be at last 21 years of age
• Training and work experience in a pediatric setting preferred
• Meets the qualifications of a Child Care Supervisor as described in 55 Pa. Code Chapter 3800
• This position requires regular interaction with residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors.In order to ensure a safe work environment for residents, coworkers, visitors, and/or supervisors of the Company, and to permit unfettered communication between the employee and those residents, coworkers, visitors, and supervisors, this position requires that the employee be able to read, write, speak, and understand the English language at an intermediate or more advanced level.
