Job summary

Interim HealthCare in Brookings, SD is seeking a Registered Nurse for Pediatrics to provide compassionate in-home care. You will assess, treat, and support pediatric clients and coordinate with families and physicians.

We offer a competitive hourly rate, weekly pay, flexible PRN and part‑time schedules with potential for full‑time hours, plus 24/7 support and ongoing education.

Qualifications

• Active RN license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges.
• Minimum 1 year pediatrics experience.
• 1000 hours of LPN/RN experience required.
• Current CPR certification; on-site CPR certification available for qualified candidates.
• Provide compassionate, professional nursing care in home settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care and support clients' health, safety, comfort, and well-being.
• Administer medications and treatments per orders and policies.
• Assess health status and monitor vital signs.
• Document clinical observations accurately and timely.
• Coordinate with physicians and other professionals to plan client care.
• Communicate changes in condition to appropriate staff.

Registered Nurse - Pediatrics Job Responsibilities

As an RN working with Interim HealthCare, responsibilities may include:

• Providing nursing care and supporting clients health, safety, comfort, and well‑being
• Administering medications and treatments in accordance with provider orders, Interim policies, and applicable regulations
• Assessing clients conditions and monitoring changes in health status
• Monitoring and documenting vital signs and other relevant clinical observations
• Collaborating with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and facility staff to coordinate client care
• Responding to changes in client conditions and communicating concerns to the appropriate healthcare professionals
• Maintaining accurate and timely clinical documentation

Qualifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license in South Dakota or eligibility for licensure through reciprocity or multistate privileges, as applicable
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Previous LPN/RN experience required – 1000 hours worked
• 1 year pediatrics experience
• Current CPR certification required; on-site CPR certification is available for qualified candidates
• Must maintain all required certifications, qualifications, and professional standards
• Ability to provide compassionate, professional nursing care in a variety of different homes
