The University of California, San Francisco (UCSF) Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse for inpatient pediatric transitional care/step-down units across UCSF Medical Center locations.

You will provide safe, therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to support complex pediatric patients, including trach-vents, CPAP/BiPAP, and organ transplant cases.

Competenze

• Minimum 1-year recent inpatient pediatric transitional care/step-down experience as a registered nurse, including experience in caring for complex populations with trach-vents, non-invasive ventilation (e.g. CPAP, BiPAP), solid organ transplants (e.g. kidney, liver)

Mansioni

• Provide safe, therapeutic nursing care using the nursing process.
• Assist with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.
• Orient to UCSF Medical Center locations as needed.

Job Description

Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care. Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1-year recent inpatient pediatric transitional care/step-down experience as a registered nurse, including experience in caring for complex populations with trach-vents, non-invasive ventilation (e.g. CPAP, BiPAP), solid organ transplants (e.g. kidney, liver)

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current license as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Current healthcare provider CPR certification
• Current Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification
