Job summary

UCSF Health, AG is seeking a registered nurse to provide safe, therapeutic care using the nursing process for pediatric patients with complex needs. The role functions within interdisciplinary teams and supports management of patient care under supervision, across UCSF Medical Center locations.

The position emphasizes ongoing professional development, compliance with the Nurse Practice Act, and collaboration with the NURSE SVC SUPV 2.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 1 year inpatient pediatric transitional care/step-down experience as a registered nurse, including experience in caring for complex populations with trach-vents, non-invasive ventilation (e.g. CPAP, BiPAP), solid organ transplants (e.g. kidney, liver).
  • This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.

Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required; performs nursing care for patients with more complex needs with assistance and supervision. Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

Responsible for maintaining the knowledge and abilities essential to the performance of stated behaviors. Carries out legal responsibilities within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act. Accountable to the NURSE SVC SUPV 2 for overall work performance.

Required Qualifications:
  • Minimum 1 year inpatient pediatric transitional care/step-down experience as a registered nurse, including experience in caring for complex populations with trach-vents, non-invasive ventilation (e.g. CPAP, BiPAP), solid organ transplants (e.g. kidney, liver)
