Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Registered Nurse for a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT unit. The role uses the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care and collaborates with interdisciplinary teams to support comprehensive patient management across UCSF Medical Center locations.

Preferred BSN; must hold California RN license with current CPR and PALS certifications. APHON certification should be obtained within 6 months of program start date.

Qualifications

• Minimum two consecutive years of current Registered Nurse employment in a Pediatric Hematology/Oncology/BMT unit.
• Ability to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations.
• BSN preferred.
• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in California.
• Active American Heart Association CPR certification.
• Active American Heart Association PALS certification.
• APHON certification within 6 months of program start date.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes the nursing process for assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation to provide safe, therapeutic care.
• Functions as a member of the interdisciplinary and nursing teams; carries out established nursing procedures and performs related duties as required.
• Assists with the management of patient care administered by other members of the nursing team.

• This position requires flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Medical Center locations

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licenses/Certifications:

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse in the State of California.
• Active American Heart Association CPR certification
• Active American Heart Association PALS certification
• APHON certification within 6 months of program start date
