Job summary

University Hospitals Rainbow Babies and Children’s PICU is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide highly specialized care to critically ill children and support families during challenging moments. The role requires a valid Ohio or compact RN license and at least 1 year of inpatient RN experience.

You will work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with opportunities to grow expertise in pediatric critical care and advanced therapies while upholding family-centered care and compassionate

Qualifications

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License with 1 year inpatient RN experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire).
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice.

What You'll Bring

• Registered Nurse (RN), Ohio and/or Multi State Compact License with 1 year inpatient RN experience
• Basic Life Support (BLS) (Required Upon Hire)

Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.

• Strong critical thinking, assessment, and communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm and effective during high-acuity situations.
• Commitment to family-centered care and exceptional patient outcomes.
• Knowledge of nursing process and practice.
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) May be required based on the clinical care standards of the unit.

Preferred Qualifications

• BSN preferred.

Previous Pediatric ICU, NICU, Emergency Department, or Critical Care experience.

• Experience caring for ventilated and medically complex pediatric patients.
