UCSF Health in Oakland, CA seeks experienced Float Pool RNs to provide staffing support across medical-surgical, PICU, NICU, emergency, and specialty units. RNs are cross-trained and deployed to areas with high patient volume or staffing needs, delivering safe, compassionate care and maintaining continuity of care.

Qualified candidates have at least 5 years of pediatric critical care experience (PICU/NICU), CA RN licensure, CPR, and PALS. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations.

Job Description

The Float Pool Nursing Department is a dynamic and versatile team of highly skilled registered nurses who provide essential staffing support across multiple units within the healthcare system. These nurses are expertly cross trained in various specialties and are deployed to areas experiencing increased patient volume, staffing shortages, or other emergent needs. They bring exceptional flexibility, adaptability, and clinical expertise to every assignment, ensuring continuity of care and upholding the highest standard or patient safety and satisfaction. Their broad skill set enables them to seamlessly integrate into diverse clinical environments, including medical-surgical, PICU, NICU, emergency, and specialty units - while consistently delivering high-quality, compassionate care.

Qualifications

Required qualifications

• At least 5 years of pediatric critical care (PICU) neonatal critical care will be considered (NICU) RN experience required
• The flexibility to orient and work at all UCSF Health locations

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

Licensure/Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse licensure in the State of California
• Active American Heart Association CPR Certification
• PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support
