The Registered Nurse is responsible for delivering safe patient care using the nursing process of assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation. Provides direct patient care within the scope of practice. Guides patient and family teaching, and supervises other nursing personnel while maintaining standards of care within the Pediatrics Unit. The RN is accountable for the care given to their assigned patients and communicates with physicians about changes in clinical condition, including cardiac monitoring, diagnostic results, and symptoms. Must respond quickly and accurately to changes in patient condition or response to treatment.
