Job summary

First Choice Nurses is seeking PCU RNs in North Carolina for flexible per diem shifts. Work 7a-7p or 7p-7a with the freedom to pick up shifts that fit your life.

You will assess and monitor patients, administer medications, document in EMR, and collaborate with physicians and care teams. Daily or weekly pay options and a locally trusted staffing team support your schedule and career goals.

Qualifications

• Active RN license (Virginia) required.
• Minimum 2 years PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years.
• Current AHA BLS.
• Current AHA ACLS.
• QuantiFERON-TB Gold test within the past 12 months.
• COVID-19 vaccination or approved medical/religious exemption.
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility assignment.

Responsibilities

• Assessing, monitoring, and documenting patient conditions.
• Monitoring cardiac rhythms and changes in patient status.
• Administering medications, IV therapies, and ordered treatments.
• Collaborating with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams.
• Maintaining accurate and timely electronic medical records.
• Following facility infection-control and patient-safety standards.
• Educating patients and families regarding care and discharge plans.
• Adapting professionally to different hospital units and environments.

PCU RN Requirements

• Active Virginia RN License
• Minimum 2 years of recent PCU nursing experience within the past 4 years
