Job summary

Responsibilities include maintaining bed availability, using electronic systems, entering orders for STEMI and stroke patients, and guiding families through transitions while upholding privacy and safety

Qualifications

• RN with 1 year in acute care.
• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• Knowledge of Baptist hospitals and specialty units; EPIC experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess bed availability for all hospital areas.
• Proficient in electronic bed management systems.
• Coordinate patient admissions and transfers with providers, patients and families.
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses and others to ensure appropriate care.
• Maintain accurate documentation and ensure timely orders for STEMI and strokes.
• Manage patient flow to prevent delays and bottlenecks.
• Serve as liaison between patients, families and healthcare providers.
• Follow escalation process with Administration and House Supervisors.
