Job summary

• RN demonstrates knowledge from biological, physical, behavioral, social, and nursing sciences.
• BSN within 5 years requirement for new hires at TCH.
• Licensure to practice nursing in Ohio; BLS and ACLS prerequisites.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient needs and nursing diagnosis; communicate changes to physician and RN in charge.
• Coordinate and revise multidisciplinary plan of care with patient/family; use SBAR for handoff.
• Perform and delegate nursing actions, educate patient/family, ensure safe care and infection prevention.
• Evaluate care effectiveness and maintain continuity of care during handoffs, rounds, and transfers.
