Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a registered nurse to engage in evidence-based practice, coordinate care, and contribute to a safety-focused environment. You will utilize the nursing process to assess and plan patient care, collaborate with the care team, and ensure accurate documentation in electronic health records.

Ideal candidates will have an RN license (multistate compact or single-state) and a Board-approved nursing program, with BLS certification and typically at least 1 year of nursing

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Board of Nursing approved nursing education program.
• Active RN license with multi-state compact and/or single-state privileges to practice where services are provided.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Typically requires 1 year of clinical nursing experience.

Responsibilities

• Engages in unit councils, governance and quality initiatives to improve care and apply evidence-based practices.
• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, diagnose, implement and evaluate care.
• Monitors patient conditions, adjusts care plans and collaborates with the care team.
• Upholds a culture of safety and maintains accurate, timely documentation in EHRs.
• May float to other units or facilities within the service area to meet patient needs.
