Job summary

Northwell Health is seeking a registered nurse to provide age-specific care using the nursing process—assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation. You will coordinate with physicians and the health team to implement procedures and guide the patient care unit.

Responsibilities include evaluating patient outcomes, documenting care, and directing nursing staff while ensuring safety and quality standards on the unit.

Qualifications

• Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing.
• BSN degree preferred and may be required within five years of employment.
• Current NYS RN license to practice.
• BCLS/ACLS certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assess patients using the nursing process and document care plans.
• Collaborate with physicians and health team to coordinate procedures and treatments.
• Implement and evaluate patient care plans with leadership in unit operations.
• Provide discharge planning and patient/family education.
• Monitor and reassess patient status; adjust plan as needed.
