Job summary

Northwestern Memorial Hospital is seeking a registered nurse to provide clinically competent, evidence-based care for an assigned patient group. You will advocate for the patient, plan care, and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team to achieve optimal outcomes.

The role requires an Illinois RN license, BSN or higher, and BLS certification. The nurse participates in ongoing education, mentoring, and professional activities while upholding ethical standards and hospital policies.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an NLN accredited school/college of nursing.
• Baccalaureate degree in Nursing or higher.
• Current State of Illinois, Registered Professional Nurse license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) CPR through American Heart Association.
• Analytic ability (conceptual and quantitative).
• Oral, listening and written communication skills.
• Strong human relation skills to interact effectively and collaborate with others in difficult situations.
• Use of a keyboard to enter or retrieve data.

Responsibilities

• Advocate for patient-centered care and develop individualized care plans.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve daily patient goals.
• Provide education and mentorship to team members.
