Job summary

Magee Rehabilitation Hospital is seeking a dedicated registered nurse to deliver patient- and family-centered care within the Jefferson Health system. The role uses the nursing process to plan care and address physical, emotional, and social needs, respecting each patient’s cultural beliefs and values.

The RN collaborates with patients and designated care partners to develop individualized care plans and participates in hospital-wide safety and quality initiatives, mentoring others as needed.

Qualifications

• Specialized Diploma graduate required for nursing practice.
• Active RN license in the state of practice.
• Knowledge of patient-, family-centered care and ability to apply it in planning.
• Understanding of diverse patient backgrounds and effective communication.
• Ability to delegate appropriately and engage families in care planning.
• Experience with patient assessment, discharge planning, and documentation.

Responsibilities

• Interact with patients, families, and staff to deliver care aligned with values.
• Apply evidence-based practice and clinical expertise in care delivery.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, treatments, and recovery steps.
• Monitor outcomes, mitigate risks, and participate in quality improvement.
• Collaborate in inter-professional teams and participate in safety initiatives.
• Prepare discharge plans and coordinate follow-up care as needed.
• Maintain accurate health information documentation.
