Job summary

Norwalk Hospital Association in Norwalk, CT is hiring a Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care within the hospital. The RN collaborates with the care team, documents care plans, and ensures safe medication administration and patient safety.

Applicants must have an Associate's Degree in Nursing (Bachelor's preferred) and an active CT RN license. Certifications are preferred; benefits include PTO, health coverage, and retirement plans.

Qualifications

• Graduated from an accredited school of nursing.
• Current Connecticut RN license.
• American Nurses Association certifications preferred.

Responsibilities

• Completes patient assessment and reassessment as clinically indicated.
• Documents plan of care, interventions and outcomes.
• Ensures documentation supports transfer/discharge planning.
• Follows the five Rights of Medication Administration; communicates with patient/family about medications.
• Coordinates and supervises delivery of nursing care; delegates tasks.
• Promotes a culture of safety and promptly addresses risk factors.
• Delivers patient-centered care respecting diversity and maintaining open communication.
• Meets accreditation, regulatory and compliance responsibilities.
