Meharry Medical College is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. The RN will support clinical services in accordance with regulatory standards and the college’s policies.

Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, documentation, and collaboration with an interdisciplinary team. Qualified candidates hold a TN RN license with 6 months to 1 year of related experience.

Qualificações

• RN training and TN licensure required.
• Minimum of six months to one year of related experience.
• Experience with substance use disorders preferred.
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation experience preferred.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary treatment teams.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support Certification preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Bilingual (Spanish) preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Provide physical care for clients under RN supervision and physician oversight.
• Assist the physician in assessments, exams and treatments.
• Collect specimens for laboratory exams as ordered.
• Administer medications and maintain medication records.
• Document and report client status at shift start/end.
• Maintain accurate clinical records and paperwork per standards.
• Contribute to treatment planning and health education for clients.
• Attend required trainings and comply with policies.
