Job summary

Meharry Medical College is seeking a Registered Nurse to provide patient care under the supervision of the Nurse Manager. The RN will assist in clinical service delivery, including assessments, medication administration, and documentation.

Applicants should have RN training with licensure (TN preferred) and 6 months to 1 year of related experience. Bilingual Spanish is a plus and ongoing training is provided.

Qualifications

• RN training and TN licensure required.
• Minimum six months to one year of related experience.
• Bilingual Spanish skills are a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical care to patients under supervision of Nurse Manager/Physician.
• Assist with assessments, vital signs, specimens, injections, and TB tests as ordered.
• Record and secure controlled medications; maintain accurate clinical records.
• Contribute to treatment planning and patient education on health topics.
• Attend monthly nursing meetings and required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
