Job summary

Meharry Medical College is seeking a Registered Nurse for the 7:00 pm to 7:00 am shift. The RN provides patient care under the Nurse Manager and supports clinical service plans. Responsibilities include assessments, medication administration, and shift handoffs, with emphasis on documentation and compliance.

Required RN training and Tennessee licensure, with 6–12 months of related experience. Experience with substance use disorder patients and crisis intervention are valued; Spanish-speaking

Qualifications

• RN training and TN licensure required.
• Minimum of six months to one year of related experience.
• Experience with patients with substance use disorders is preferred.
• Crisis intervention and de-escalation experience are a plus.
• Ability to work in interdisciplinary treatment teams and communicate effectively.
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide physical care for clients under supervision of Nurse Manager/Physician.
• Assist in assessments, examinations, and treatments.
• Administer medications and maintain accurate records.
• Observe, document, and report client signs and symptoms.
• Receive and give shift reports; attend monthly meetings and required trainings.
• Adhere to medication management procedures and college policies.
