Job summary

Qualifications

• Associates Degree in Nursing is required.
• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing is preferred.
• Registered Nursing License with State of Practice is required.
• BLS is required.
• ACLS is required within 90 days of orientation completion.
• PALS is required within 90 days of orientation completion.
• Experience: 1-2 years preferred.

Responsibilities

• Care plan developed and implemented with other health care team members.
• Communicate with physicians regarding Situation, Background, Assessment, and Recommendation (SBAR).
• Assesses patients for chronic diseases and acute episodes.
• Develops and implements plan of care using nursing diagnosis; evaluates goals and communicates plan to patient and family.
• Administers medications using the five rights and adheres to safety protocols; exercises clinical judgment.
• Models excellence in patient care and keeps family informed; rounds with the team as needed.
