Job summary

The role requires an Associate Degree in Nursing and a Maryland RN license with CPR certification; a Bachelor's degree must be completed within 3 years. Specialty certifications may be required on hire and two years of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Associate Degree from an accredited School of Nursing required.
• Bachelor’s degree required within 3 years of start date.
• Current registration with the Maryland State Board of Examiners of Nurses as a Registered Nurse.
• Healthcare Provider CPR biennial
• Additional certifications (i.e. ACLS, PALS, NRP) for specialty care areas are required upon hire
• Certification in specialty preferred
• Two years clinical experience in a relevant area preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilization of Nursing Process.
• Assessment: compiles database, formulates nursing diagnosis, and uses physical assessment techniques.
• Planning: writes and updates the nursing plan of care and coordinates discharge planning.
• Implementation: performs nursing skills, administers meds and IV therapy, delegates duties, documents status and plans.
• Patient Care Coordination: manages daily assignments and coordinates activities across disciplines.
• Teaching and Quality Improvement: documents patient teaching, participates in education programs, and monitors unit performance.
• Professional Excellence Model: participates in leadership and development, and unit governance.
