Job summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a Registered Nurse to support the Chief Nursing Officer in leading the patient care team within a hospital setting. The RN will implement the nursing process, ensure safety and comfort, and provide education and advocacy to patients and families.

Qualifications

• 1 year clinical experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Experience in ortho and stroke patient population preferred.
• BLS, ACLS and other certifications required/desired as per unit.

Responsibilities

• Lead patient care team under CNO; ensure safety, recovery and comfort of patients.
• Support quality improvement and growth of unit services; collaborate with departments.
• Precepting and competency validation for new hires and procedures.
• Educate patients and families; educate staff on standards of care.
