Texas Health Frisco is seeking a Part Time-Nights Registered Nurse in Labor and Delivery to provide patient-focused care using the Nursing Process. The role centers on safe, compassionate care during deliveries and requires licensure and specialized certifications.

You will assess, plan, implement and evaluate care, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and support family-centered care throughout the labor and delivery journey. Magnet-status facility with strong team culture.

Qualifications

• Associate degree Nursing or Nursing Diploma required.
• BSN preferred.
• 1 year RN experience or completion of an RN residency program required.
• 1 year of labor and delivery experience preferred.
• RN license required upon hire.
• BCLS required prior to independent patient care and kept current quarterly.
• NRP required within 90 days.
• ACLS required within 90 days.
• IFM required within 6 months upon hire.
• NRPA required within 90 days.
• CPI training maintained annually within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Delivers care to patients using the Nursing Process.
• Assesses the patient.
• Plans the care of the patient.
• Intervenes as appropriate.
• Evaluates the effectiveness of interventions.
• Incorporates age-specific safety/infection control into patient care.
• Initiates information to meet patient and family information needs.
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift and during transfers.

Work location: Texas Health Frisco, 12400 N Dallas Parkway, Frisco, Texas, 75033 Work hours: Part Time- 24 Hours; Nights- 7:00 pm-7:00 am

Here’s What You Need

• Associate degree Nursing required or Nursing Diploma
• BSN (Preferred)
• 1 Year Experience as a registered nurse or completion of an RN residency program (Required)
• 1 years of labor and delivery experience as a registered nurse (Preferred)
• RN - Registered Nurse Upon Hire (Required upon hire)
• BCLS - Basic Cardiac Life Support prior to providing independent patient care and maintained quarterly (Required)
• NRP - Essential Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
• ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support 90 Days (Required)
• IFM - Intermediate Fetal Monitoring 6 Months (Required upon hire)
• NRPA-Advanced Neonatal Resuscitation Program 90 Days (Required)
• CPI - Crisis Prevention Intervention Training Maintained Annually 90 Days Req

What You Will Do

• Delivers care to patients utilizing the Nursing Process

• Initiates action to meet patient and/or significant others need for information
• Maintains continuity of patient care inter-shift, inter-hospital, and while expediting out of hospital transfers.
