Mercy Hospital St. Louis is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join the ICU Stepdown team on a part-time schedule (24 hours per week, days or nights). You will provide compassionate, evidence-based care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg.

Graduate of ADN/BSN with Missouri RN license required; BSN preferred. We offer day-one benefits, tuition assistance, retirement matching, and opportunities for growth through Mercy's clinical career

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• BSN preferred.
• Current Missouri RN license or compact license.

Responsabilités

• Provide high-quality care for intermediate-acuity patients transitioning from critical care to Med/Surg level.
• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized nursing care using evidence-based practices.
• Perform accurate hand-offs and bedside shift reporting to maintain patient safety.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practitioners, and multidisciplinary partners to optimize patient outcomes.
• Administer medications, monitor complex conditions (cardiac, respiratory, post-ICU), and support recovery.
• Participate in huddles, shared governance activities, and unit-based quality improvement initiatives.

Position Details:

24 hours per week (Days or Nights)

What You'll Do

Qualifications

Education

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing (ADN, Diploma, or BSN).
• BSN preferred.

Licensure

• Current Missouri RN license or compact license.

Certifications

• Required: BLS (American Heart Association).
• Preferred: ACLS, NIHSS, PCCN, or other Stepdown-related certifications.
