Job summary

Trinity Health MI in Grand Rapids seeks a Registered Nurse to join a collaborative team delivering evidenced-based care to surgical patients. The RN will support pre-op activities and post-anesthesia care as part of an interdisciplinary team.

This part-time weekend position requires graduation from an accredited nursing program and Michigan RN licensure; ADN required, BSN preferred. Experience in PACU and acute care is valued, with specialty credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associates Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan; RN licensure must be active.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Op: optimize the patient for surgery through questionnaires, lab work and history.
• Post-Op: care of the surgical patients post anesthesia.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team to deliver evidenced based patient care.
• Weekend schedule: Saturday and Sunday shifts.

Position Summary

Registered Nurse, RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidenced based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse, RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

What you will need

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
• Associates Degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
• Experience as an RN required, experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Recent experience in PACU required
• Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty preferred.

What you will do

Pre-Op

• Optimize the patient for surgery through questionnaires, lab work and history.
• Communicate effectively with family members before and during the surgery.
• Assist in obtaining consents for surgery.

Post - Op

• Care of the Surgical patients post anesthesia.
