Job summary

Trinity Health in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) to support surgical care in a fast-paced perioperative setting. The Weekend Shift requires flexibility to cover Saturday and Sunday in a PACU/post-anesthesia environment.

You will collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient readiness, deliver evidence-based nursing care, and support family communication before and after procedures. Michigan licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associates Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN, must enroll in BSN within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• Experience as an RN required; experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Recent experience in PACU required.
• Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty.

Responsibilities

• Pre-Op: Optimize the patient for surgery through questionnaires, lab work and history.
• Pre-Op: Communicate effectively with family members before and during the surgery.
• Pre-Op: Assist in obtaining consents for surgery.
• Post - Op: Care of the Surgical patients post anesthesia.
• What you will work: Saturday & Sunday (Weekend Schedule).
