Job summary

IHA in Grand Rapids, MI is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse (RN) for weekend shifts to care for surgical patients post anesthesia. You will work with an interdisciplinary team to deliver evidenced-based care and facilitate the patient visit experience.

Responsibilities include pre-op preparation, communication with families, obtaining surgical consents, and post-op care for patients after anesthesia. Michigan RN licensure is required; ADN/BSN pathways are noted for progression.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program.
• Associates Degree in nursing required; BSN preferred.
• Licensed in the State of Michigan.
• Recent experience in PACU required.
• ADN to BSN enrollment within 6 months of hire and completion within 4 years of hire.
• Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty preferred.

Position Summary

Registered Nurse, RN works in a collaborative environment to deliver excellent patient care as part of an interdisciplinary team providing evidenced based medicine and individualized patient care. A Registered Nurse, RN is expected to facilitate all aspects of the patient visit experience.

What You Will Need

• Graduation from an accredited Nursing school and program
• Associates Degree in nursing required, BSN preferred.
• In Grand Rapids if ADN must enroll in BSN program within 6 months of hire and complete in 4 years of hire
• Licensed in the State of Michigan
• Experience as an RN required, experience in an acute care setting preferred.
• Recent experience in PACU required
• Specialty credentialing preferred according to clinical nursing practice specialty preferred.

Pre-Op

What you will do:

• Optimize the patient for surgery through questionnaires, lab work and history.
• Communicate effectively with family members before and during the surgery.
• Assist in obtaining consents for surgery.

Post - Op

• Care of the Surgical patients post anesthesia.
