Job summary

Ascension is seeking a PACU RN to support post-anesthesia care at either Milwaukee, WI or Tulsa, OK facilities. The role features day shifts, 36–40 hours weekly, and a gross rate up to $2,620 per week.

Requirements include an RN license, ACLS/BLS within specified timeframes, and a Diploma in Nursing. Preferred is Pediatric Advanced Life Support. Equal opportunity employer with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active RN license at time of hire or transfer.
• ACLS within 6 months of hire/transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• BLS within 30 days of hire/transfer date (American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Expert management of post-surgical airways and emergence from anesthesia.
• Rapid identification and treatment of post-op complications, including hemodynamic instability.
• Precise titration of analgesics and anti-emetics based on Aldrete scores.
• Execute high-fidelity patient hand-offs and discharge coordination for safe recovery.

What minimum requirements you’ll need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

Required Credential(s):

• Registered Nurse obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
• One or more of the following:
  • Advanced Life Support obtained within 6 Months (180 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Preferred Credential(s):

• Pediatric Advanced Life Support. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.

Education:

• Diploma from an accredited school/college of nursing OR Required professional licensure at time of hire.

What additional preferences we're seeking

• 1+ year of acute care experience
• 3 years of recent PACU experience
• Applicable license and/or certification per contract requirements required
