The PACU RN reports directly to the OR Charge Nurse and the Director of Surgical Services, and indirectly to the House Supervisor. The RN is responsible for delivering patient care through assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation for all patients within the PACU. The RN coordinates post-operative care with surgeons and anesthesiologists, guides other personnel, and maintains standards of care. Communication with physicians regarding patient condition changes, diagnostic results, and symptoms is essential. The RN collaborates with other departments to ensure quality care, efficient patient flow, and unit organization. Responsibilities include adherence to regulations and policies, participation in performance improvement activities, and acting as a resource for staff.

The pay range for this role is $40.83 to $52.88 per hour. The exact starting salary depends on experience, education, credentials, and other factors.
