Job summary

Community Hospital in Oklahoma City is hiring a Full Time Registered Nurse in the Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The RN will provide direct patient care, monitor recovery, and collaborate with surgeons and anesthesiologists to ensure safe, effective perioperative outcomes.

Qualifications

• Current Registered Nurse licensure in Oklahoma required.
• Minimum one year experience in PACU or acute care preferred.
• AHA BLS Healthcare Provider required within 30 days of hire.
• AHA ACLS required within 120 days of hire.
• AHA PALS required within 120 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Provide care to surgical patients in the PACU according to policy and procedure and care standards.
• Maintain knowledge of medications, equipment, and expected patient outcomes during surgery.
• Coordinate patient care with multidisciplinary team.

Under general supervision, the RN staff nurse provides direct nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures of the Hospital. In collaboration with the patient, the patient's family and other members of the health care team, the RN staff nurse assumes responsibility for the management and delivery of patient care including, but not limited to, assessment/re-assessment, development of the plan of care, implementation and evaluation of appropriate patient care interventions utilizing the nursing process. The RN staff nurse also assists the anesthesiologist and surgeon with patient-related care activities. Always works as a team member within the entire facility. Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Current Registered Nurse Licensure with the State of Oklahoma required.
