Job summary

CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO is hiring a PACU nurse to care for post-operative patients of all ages recovering from anesthesia, including general, regional, and local anesthesia. You will assess pain, plan and document nursing care, and monitor hemodynamic and neurological status with a focus on airway safety.

The role requires active Missouri RN licensure, BLS (within 90 days), ACLS and PALS within one year, with a sign-on bonus and relocation support available.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program
• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing preferred
• RN license active in Missouri required/verify licensure
• BLS must be obtained within 90 days of hire
• ACLS within one year of hire
• PALS within one year of hire

Responsibilities

• Provide care for post-operative patients of all ages recovering from anesthesia (general, regional, local).
• Evaluate plans, implement nursing care, document care and assess pain.
• Maintain hemodynamic and neurological stability and a patent airway.
• Administer diligent care via monitoring, assessment, intervention and continuous reassessment.
