Job summary

The Same Day Surgery Nurse at CoxHealth South in Springfield, MO oversees and directs care for pre and post-surgical patients across ages, assesses anesthesia recovery, and educates patients and families on home care instructions.

Job Description

The same day surgery nurse oversees and directs the care of pre and post-surgical patients of all ages. The nurse is responsible for the care of patients in all-surgical specialties. The same day surgery nurse assesses overall anesthesia recovery and educates patients and their families about homecare instructions.

Education

• Required: Graduate of an accredited nursing program or NLN approved program
• Preferred: Bachelor's Degree in Nursing

Experience

• Preferred: Previous nursing experience
