Job summary

Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Las Colinas in Irving, TX is seeking a PACU Registered Nurse to join our perioperative team. The RN PACU provides quality, patient-family centered care using the nursing process and follows hospital policies; reports to the Manager of Peri-Operative Services.

We offer a $7,500 sign-on bonus and a 4-day, 10-hour shift schedule. Candidates should graduate of an accredited nursing program, hold a TX license, BLS/ACLS/PALS, and have at least 2 years in PACU or

Required Skills:

Education, Training And Experience

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing


• Current TX Nursing License


• Current BLS, ACLS and PALS

Required Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years' in PACU or Critical Care experience.


• Previous experience working in an ambulatory surgical setting preferred.


• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient


• Understand principles of aseptic technique and their implementation


• Ability to care for patients from infancy to geriatrics.


• Knowledge base to recognize, evaluate, solve problems and correct errors.


• Ability to quickly adapt to changing condition of the patient when needed.


• Excellent teaching skills


• Excellent communication and organizational skills


• Demonstrate strong professional and ethical behavior.


• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, physicians and fellow employees. (TEAMWORK)
