Registered Nurse positions involve various responsibilities within the agency, working in inpatient, outpatient, or residential treatment programs, either in correctional facilities or as part of the Corrections Mental Health Program. Assignments may vary across different units and settings.
This is an experienced-level position performing a broad range of nursing duties. No specific experience is required.
Functions as a senior worker or emergency/clinic nursing services specialist. Requires one year of RN experience or a master's/bachelor's degree in nursing with six months of RN experience.
This senior RN role requires advanced clinical decision-making skills. The RN provides direct patient care independently and may serve as a Charge Nurse. The position involves daily contact with prisoners of varying security levels and is subject to random drug screening.
These roles serve as a pathway to supervisory positions.
Location: Duane Waters Health Center, Jackson County
Note: New hires receive a $5,000 signing bonus, paid as $1,500 initially and $3,500 after one year of service. Leaving before one year requires repayment of the bonus.
Diploma, associate's, bachelor's, or master's degree in nursing accepted for licensure by the Michigan Board of Nursing.
RN P11: No specific experience required.
RN 12: One year of RN experience or a relevant degree and experience substitution.
