This position will join an engaged support team to provide triage support for 9 busy Pediatric General Surgery Physicians and 3 Outpatient Nurse Practitioners. Duties include providing clinical triage support for the team and providers they support. Communication with multiple disciplines via phone and Cerner pool messaging, handling patient inquires as appropriate. Addressing patient care issues, including but not limited to medication prior authorizations, FMLA, ambulatory and imaging orders, and clinical triage of existing and new patients. Clinical coordination, support for multidisciplinary and subspecialty clinics. Manage work with basic guidance and direction.Core Office Hours: Monday - Friday, possible hybrid position, 2 days per week after initial orientation.No weekends, No holidays, No call.May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
Qualifications- Requires Associates of Nursing (ASN); Bachelor of Nursing (BSN) preferred.
- Requires an active Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Indiana or an active Nurse Licensure Compact (NLC) RN license.
- Requires that the RN has graduated from a nationally accredited nursing program.
- Requires Basic Life Support certification through the AHA.
- Other Advanced Life Support certifications may be required per unit/department specialty according to patient care policies.
- May require ability to assess patients without face-to-face interaction.
- Requires awareness and understanding of legal implications of patient care activities and performance as a Registered Nurse.
