Responsibilities

• Deliver nursing care based on the latest evidence, policies, and standards to ensure safe, personalized patient care.
• Communicate continuously with patients, colleagues, and healthcare team members regarding patient status and care plans.
• Administer medications using advanced bar-scanning and documentation technologies to ensure safety.
• Document assessments, care plans, interventions, and evaluations electronically at the point of care.
• Provide patient and family education to promote health, wellness, and disease management.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary discharges to ensure safe transitions and ongoing care.

Qualifications

• Valid New Jersey Nursing license required
• BLS/CPR certification from American Heart Association required within 60 days of hire
• Minimum of 6 months nursing experience or participation in Hackensack Meridian Health Nurse Residency program
• ACLS and orthopedic certifications preferred
• Experience caring for post-op orthopedic patients preferred
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
• Strong ability to learn quickly, adapt, collaborate, and deliver high-quality patient care
