Job summary

Baptist Health in Kentucky is seeking a Registered Nurse for 2 North Ortho to provide direct, comprehensive nursing care from admission to discharge. You will document outcomes, follow professional standards, and prioritize care based on patient needs, while maintaining continuous communication with physicians and hospital teams.

The role is a full-time shift pattern (7a–7p). Current KY RN license and ADN required; BLS within 90 days; Crisis Prevention training within 6 months. BSN preferred.

Qualifications

• ADN degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted RN license in Kentucky.
• BLS certification required within 90 days of hire.
• Crisis Prevention training within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• The Registered Nurse has the responsibility and accountability for direct comprehensive nursing care for the patient from admission to discharge.
• Reviews and documents care provided, outcomes of care, and evaluations of care.
• Follows the professional standards of care.
• Demonstrates ability to prioritize care based on changing assessment and needs of patients.
• Having ongoing communication with physicians and other departments in the hospital.

Requirements

• Associate of Science in Nursing (ADN) degree from an accredited institution.
• Current unrestricted licensure as a Registered Nurse in the state of Kentucky required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required within 90 days of hire.
• Must obtain Crisis Prevention within 6 months of hire.

Preferred Qualifications

• Recent experience in specialty preferred.
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree from an accredited institution.
